A Contact List Full of Numbers, Only 3% Matter!

How many of you have had the experience of looking through your contact list filled with hundreds, maybe even thousands of people and still feeling quite alone?

70% are colleagues, 20% are former classmates, and 7% are old best friends.

Most of these people you haven’t spoken to since graduation, your interests are different, relationships change and conversations can be awkward.

“How are you?”

“I’m good. And you?”

Now, in “adult life” we’ve made new friends after graduation, our lives are very different, we may even be in a different city.

Before long, we forget our best friend’s birthday, we don’t catch up as often and the distance increases as we slowly drift apart. This is all just part of growing up.

We can grow and mature. Looking back, thankful for the years we had with those friends and all the good times and still know that things are great now.

Now, you have that 3% leftover from your contacts. Those are your best friends now.

Lifetime soulmates. Sharing life moments of happiness and sorrow. The friends you can pick up the phone and just talk for hours about nothing, the ones that are there for you through it all.

Don’t be discouraged by the 3%. Cherish the 3%!
